Carroll Tech is a web-based distance learning service intended to assist blind and visually impaired individuals as well as to train education and rehabilitation professionals.
Instruction is offered in access technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, Braille embossers, mobile devices, note-takers and scanners. Each course is comprised of text, videos, exercises, quizzes and collaborative forums.
Some courses that are available on www.carrolltech.org require payment in order to enroll a student in a particular course. The Carroll Center for the Blind accepts registration payments online and over the phone for our courses that require user payment. You may register for these type of courses through Paypal, which is available on an individual, per user account level, when signing up for a course online. The other method of payment available is to call the Carroll Center's business office at our toll free phone number (800) 852-3131, extension 243. Please be sure to provide our office with the course name, the user's carrolltech username and the individual's first and last name so we may enroll the user into the proper course.
