Open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, the CARROLL TECH Alumni chatroom is a place where those who have taken at least one CARROLL TECH on-line class can meet to talk about access technology, web sites that work well with screen readers, screen magnifiers or Braille displays and so much more. Just click on Alumni Chat, login and see who is at home.
Alumni Discounts
Vendors of access technology occasionally offer discounts on their products and services to our graduates. Printout the appropriate discount certificate and take advantage of our latest offers.
Alumni Events
The Carroll Center for the Blind Computer Training Services Department occasionally holds special seminars either at the campus or on-line. From time-to-time, these seminars are restricted to only CARROLL TECH Alumni. With your alumni name and password, you will be able to register for one or more of these alumni only events.
Alumni Tech Support
Once you have taken an on-line class from CARROLL TECH, you are eligible to call us with questions about problems you are having with the application you were trained in. Call (617) 969-6200 Extension 303 and leave a message. One of our training staff, usually the instructor who taught the class, will call you back and help you with your problem. Alumni are also privy to exclusive Assistive Technology related content like Recommended Computer System Specifications and JAWS scripts.
Alumni Tech Swap
Do you have access technology you are no longer using? Are you looking for
an older item of access technology or for a used piece of equipment? If so,
you will want to take advantage of the CARROLL TECH Swap. Some items will
be free while others will cost you. All transactions are strictly between
the seller and buyer. The Carroll Center makes no claims and takes no responsibility
as to the fitness of any product or service offered on the Tech Swap.
