Become a Member:
Before qualifying to take a class, you must first become a member of Carroll Tech. Membership is free and open to everyone. Once you are a member, you can begin the qualification process.
Qualify to take a class:
We need to know if you have the necessary computer skills to access all of the class content including the use of a word processor, an email client and a web browser as well as an understanding of file management under your computer's operating system.
- Your computer must be connected to the Internet
- You must be able to send and receive email
- You must have a multi-channel sound card with either speakers and a microphone or a headset with microphone
- You must have the required screen reader or screen magnification software
- You must have the necessary disk space, memory and processer speed.

Register to take a class:
Once you have completed the qualification process, you can register for a class. When filling out your application, be sure to answer all questions including the class title and your contact information. You will receive confirmation of your registration by email including any user names and passwords required to access the class content and chatroom.
Register to attend a special event:
From time-to-time, the Carroll Center Computer Training Services Department will host a special event on the use of access technology. If you would like to see our calendar of such events and register to attend either in person or over the Internet, select the Special Event Calendar.
Register to attend a center-based special event:
Not all special events are conducted on the Internet. Technology fairs and field trips to off-site locations require that you be physically present to take advantage of all that is being offered. These events have a maximum size and will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. Check out the Special Events Calendar to register for one of these events.
